Staying at the Golden Nugget was a mixed bag for me. On the upside, the location is prime, right in the middle of the downtown action. However, I ended up disappointed with the room—the bathroom wasn't up to par and there was a lot of noise from both the street and hotel machinery. Overall, I expected more for the price I paid.

Rooms
5.0
The bathroom was particularly disappointing with issues like a toilet that didn't flush well and a sink that drained slowly. Noise was a constant problem; even on the higher floors, I could hear traffic and other guests. Plus, I really miss having a fridge and coffee maker included in the room. I expected better amenities for the price.
Service
6.0
While the staff was friendly and helpful, some seemed a bit untrained, especially with applying discounts. I did appreciate the easy check-in and check-out process, which was smooth and hassle-free.
Location
7.0
The location is fantastic, right near all the attractions on Fremont Street and just a quick Uber ride away from the Strip, but it can be loud. My room had a view of a wall and mechanical units, which was disappointing.
Dining
5.0
Food options were okay, but I'd recommend you do some research before dining. There's a lot of mediocre choices.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities felt nickel-and-dimed, from fees for fridges to charges for coffee makers. The pool wasn't even open during my stay, which was a bummer.

6.8/10

I recently stayed at the Golden Nugget in the Carson Tower. The room was clean, though somewhat dated, and I found the service to be quick when I faced some issues. Dining was good, albeit a bit pricey. Overall, the location was perfect for exploring downtown, but the amenities felt lacking at times.

Rooms
6.0
While my room was clean and well-kept, it did feel somewhat dated. The ceiling had some plaster issues, which was disappointing.
Service
7.0
The service was generally efficient and accommodating, especially when I had a room issue. However, the absence of housekeeping on one day was concerning.
Location
8.0
The location was ideal, right in the heart of downtown on Fremont Street. Access to various attractions was easy, making it very convenient.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were good with plenty of choices. Yet, I found some of the prices a bit high and had to seek more affordable options outside.
Facilities
6.0
The pool was nice, but its hours were inconvenient. Closing early limited my access while I was there, which was frustrating.

5.4/10

I had a mixed experience at the Golden Nugget. The location was great for exploring Fremont Street, but there were several issues with my room's condition and the service. While I enjoyed the pool area, the restaurant options were not as impressive as I hoped, especially for the price.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in needed significant updates. The bathroom had issues with lighting, and the amenities were lacking. I even had trouble with the water flow. It just didn't feel up to the expectations set by other hotels I've stayed in.
Service
6.0
While the staff at the front desk was accommodating in switching my room due to noise, overall service felt impersonal. I expected a little more warmth, especially as they didn't acknowledge my special occasion. WiFi was also below average during my stay.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is its strong suit, right on Fremont Street. It made it easy to access attractions and entertainment, which I appreciated. However, the street noise could be a bit distracting, particularly at night.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were decent but ended up being pricier than expected for the quality. I found better places to eat nearby that offered more value.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities included a casino and a small pool area, which were nice enough, but nothing really good stood out. It felt quite crowded at times, which made it less enjoyable.

6.4/10

My stay at Golden Nugget was a mix of comfort and frustration. While I appreciated the pleasant staff and the location on Fremont, the service and room quality fell far short of expectations. From a long check-in process to inconsistent housekeeping, there were several issues that detracted from my overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
I had a king-sized room in Rush Tower, which was spacious and away from the noise. However, I found it quite dark with poor lighting, and cleanliness was an issue. I faced a significant delay in room cleaning, and even when it was cleaned, there were visible smudges on the windows.
Service
5.0
The service was often lacking. The VIP check-in wasn't staffed when I arrived, and the regular front desk was overwhelmed with long lines. Also, the promised in-room amenities were not consistently available, which was disappointing.
Location
9.0
The location on Fremont Street is incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. This was definitely one of the highlights of my visit.
Dining
7.0
Dining options like the Grotto restaurant provided delicious meals, yet the quality of some food options did not match the price point. I also experienced limited hours at certain places, which was inconvenient.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities need improvement. For instance, drink service at the casino was virtually non-existent, and the pool, although beautiful, felt overcrowded. The gym and other facilities went unused by me, adding to the disappointing experience.

I had a mostly enjoyable stay at the Golden Nugget, particularly appreciating the luxurious Scarlet suite and the superb pool area with a unique slide. However, I did encounter some significant issues during my visit, including a convoluted checkout process and a frustrating check-in experience. Overall, the hotel's positives like its friendly staff and excellent location made for a nice trip, despite a few setbacks.

Rooms
8.0
The Scarlet suite was luxurious and comfortable for my family, and the adjoining room was great for our large group. However, I heard some guests mention issues with cleanliness and dated decor in their rooms, which is concerning.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, but the check-in process was slow, and I felt upsold during interactions. Also, some guests faced severe issues with their reservations.
Location
9.0
The Golden Nugget is situated right in the heart of the Fremont Street Experience, which is perfect for exploring the area. I appreciated how easy it was to get Ubers to the Strip without breaking the bank.
Dining
8.0
The dining options were varied, with great restaurants and even two Starbucks on-site, making it convenient for all our needs. The value for food was also impressive.
Facilities
8.0
The pool area was fantastic, featuring multiple sections for different ages and a shark tank slide that was a hit with everyone. Some other facilities were noted to be less maintained by other guests, but my experience was satisfactory.
